At Hot Sauce Pod, we’re committed to delivering the best custom hot sauce boxes straight to your door. Part of that commitment means being transparent with you, our valued customers, about changes that impact our pricing. Recently, we’ve encountered a 7% increase in cardboard costs—a key component of our packaging. As a result, you’ll notice this adjustment reflected across our 25, 50, and 100 box options, effective immediately.

We’re always working behind the scenes to keep costs as low as possible, but some increases, like this one, are unavoidable. Rest assured, we’re actively exploring ways to optimize our operations and minimize future adjustments.

Looking Ahead: A Shift in Shipping

In addition to the cardboard cost increase, we’ve been reevaluating how we handle shipping. Historically, we’ve baked shipping costs into the price of each box to offer “free shipping” as a perk. However, we’ve decided it’s time for a change. In the near future, we’ll be moving away from this model and introducing shipping rates tailored to your location within the U.S.

What does this mean for you? For many, this could result in a lower base price per box. For those in farther-flung locations, our goal is to keep your total cost (including shipping) roughly equivalent to what it was before—adjusted only for the 7% increase we’re applying across the board. We believe this shift creates a fairer, more accurate pricing structure that better reflects the realities of shipping across the country.

More Flexibility and Options

Once we roll out this new pricing model, you’ll have even more flexibility. We’ll open up orders to any quantity below 25 boxes, so you can get exactly what you need. Plus, we’re adding bulk discounts for 250 and 500 boxes to reward our bigger orders. For anything over 500 boxes, parcel delivery doesn’t always make sense—so we’ll continue offering custom quotes for large orders, mixed pallets, or unique product combinations. Whatever your hot sauce needs, we’ve got you covered.

As we grow, we’re also exploring strategic partnerships to streamline distribution nationwide. This is an exciting step for us, and while it’s still in the works, we can’t wait to share more details as things develop. Our focus remains on delivering top-quality hot sauce boxes at the best possible value.
